Curious Theatre Collective

Founded in 2016, Curious Theatre Collective tells the stories of remarkable women through original theater programming, inspiring young audiences to follow their curiosity, persevere through challenges, and believe in the power of their imagination. Our creative team as well as our performance ensemble have several decades of experience in performing and writing music and theatre, community based performance, and a deliberate commitment to opening the doors for new theatre audiences, young and not-so-young. Performance Sally’s Ride: To Space and Beyond!

GRADES: Kindergarten-5th grade

Sally Ride will take audiences on the rid of their lives in this dynamic performance about space exploration! Students will see just how far they can go when following their curiosity and believing in the power of imagination. Through music, audience participation, and narrative, this performance will ignite excitement for science, while having loads of fun. Students will learn that by venturing into space, we improve life on earth by advances in environmental sustainability, medicine, and technology.

Max Participants: 300

Duration: 55 minutes.

Special Requirements: 20 ft x 20 ft performance space

Single Performance Fee: $937.50
Multiple Same-Day Performances Fee: $1,312.50 for 2; $1,687.50 for 3

Performance Creekside: The Journey of a Young Environmental Activist

GRADES: Kindergarten-5th grade

 Mia discovers something wrong with her backyard creek, and sets out to make it better with the help of famous female environmentalists like Rachel Carson. Students will explore concepts of environmental justice, interconnectedness, responsibility, and youth activism!

Max Participants: 300

Duration: 55 minutes.

Special Requirements: We will need 1 adult per 30 students for classroom management. There is also an option for students to learn a song and some text in advance for an extra participatory element of the show.
