Durham Culture & Arts – Invest to Restart
Support the Proposal for American Rescue Plan Funding to Help Durham’s Creative Sector Recovery from the Covid-19 Pandemic & Catalyze Economic Growth
The Covid-19 Pandemic has caused over $20.5 million in revenue losses in our arts and cultural sector. To date, pandemic relief grants for arts and cultural organizations and artists through Durham Arts Council, local, state, & federal sources has been able to relieve $6 million of the losses. The funding gap still exceeds $14 million!
Durham Arts Council is asking you to endorse a proposal to the City and County of Durham for $3 million in ARP funding to support arts organizations and artists in Durham.

North Carolina’s Annual Conference of Art & Action
March 23-24, 2022
Arts Day 2022 Conference will again be held online. ARTS Day Conference is devoted to professional development, networking, and developing messages and strategies. Insightful speakers, industry updates, and rousing performances make the ARTS Day Conference a “thought-provoking” and “energizing” event people return to year after year. The meeting with Durham’s state legislators will be scheduled for a separate day in June.
