Donate to the Arts Annual Fund
Monthly Giving
When you choose to give monthly, your gift ensures that we can continue to inspire creativity and innovation in our community throughout the year!
What your gift can do:
• $10 per month supports an artist’s gallery exhibition opening ($120 annually)
• $20 per month maintains a piano for children’s music lessons, recitals, and rehearsals ($240 annually)
• $25 per month supports scholarships for 2 children to attend summer arts camp at DAC ($300 annually)
Arts Recovery Fund
Donors to the Arts Recovery Fund will be supporting a diverse community of local nonprofit arts organizations, artists, artist collectives, arts presenters, arts venues and arts businesses. The non-profit arts sector in Durham provides 5,722 jobs and economic impact of over $154.2 million annually.** The arts are a major part of what makes Durham vibrant and unique, and this sector is being critically impacted by Covid-19.
Emerging Artist Grant Fund
Choosing to donate to the Durham Arts Council’s Emerging Artists Grant Program expands DAC’s support for local artists as they develop their professional careers. Grant support for pivotal projects can have significant impact for the developing artist. Open to artists living in Durham, Orange, Chatham, Granville and Person Counties. Invest today in the art of tomorrow!
Estate + Planned Giving
How will you be remembered? Leave a legacy of creativity, lifelong learning, and vibrancy in your community by including us in your will or estate planning. A gift that costs nothing during your lifetime will continue to benefit the arts community in numerous beautiful ways after your passing. Please consult your financial and legacy planners to arrange your gift to the Durham Arts Council.
You have options when it comes to your legacy gift:
- Name DAC as a beneficiary of your IRA or retirement plan
- Name DAC as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy. Leave a specific amount, percentage, or the residual of your estate to Durham Arts Council
- Name DAC in the succession plan of your donor advised fund or family foundation
