Fall: The Sixties
The Sixties were a time of cultural change. We began to hear the sounds of Motown in music and the Beatles became popular during what is now known as the British invasion. Pop artists work, such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, challenged the traditional definition of fine art. And the Space Race was in full swing with Apollo 11 landing on the moon in 1969 with 3 astronauts. Step back into the past as you learn about this exciting decade.
Winter: Recycled Art
As we become more responsible with what we use and throw away, there is more and more room for creativity in re-using materials! Artists like Bryant Holsenbeck, David Edgar and many others have embraced this new type of creative method, and there are countless examples of re-use art all around us! Come and have fun with us while we learn how we can transform “trash” into our own treasures!
Note: Starting with winter, week-long school-break camps are registrable by the week or by the day.
