Durham Arts Council

provides services annually to over 300,000 visitors and program participants plus more than 900 artists, and more than 60 arts organizations through arts classes, summer camps, artist residencies, exhibits, festivals, grant programs, technical support, arts advocacy and information services. DAC’s mission is to promote excellence in and access to the creation, experience and active support of the arts for all people of our community.

Since 1974, CenterFest has showcased juried visual artists from the Triangle and across the country, and filled multiple stages with stand-out local performers. Come and be dazzled by world-class ceramics, paintings, photography, jewelry, fiber art, woodwork, glass and more. CenterFest also features musicians, dancers and unique street performers to provide continuous entertainment. Kids will have a blast at the Creative Kids Zone, food vendors keep guests fueled for fun, and Durham’s nonprofit and government services sector inspire and inform festival goers.
