Installments Plans for Classes
Automatic installments of two equal credit card payments are available on the registration form. Installments are not available for 1- or 2-day workshops or courses costing less than $100. The first payment is due upon registration and the second payment is charged to your account 5 days prior to the first class meeting. A credit card must be used and kept on file for multiple payments.
Payment Plans for Individual Music
Payment Plan A: Semester Tuition may be paid in full at the time of registration, prior to the first lesson. DAC can accept payment by cash, check, money order or credit card (Visa or Mastercard). Students who prepay tuition in full will receive a $12.00 discount on each semester’s tuition.
Payment Plan B: This plan requires a 50% first installment of the full tuition for the semester prior to the first lesson, and then the tuition balance is automatically charged at the half way mark of your lessons to your credit or debit card. There is no fee for this service and you must have a credit card on file with DAC.
Students age 65 and older are eligible for a 20% discount on tuition. This excludes individual music lessons. Please call 919-560-2726 if you qualify for a senior discount.
Class Cancellation, Withdrawal And Refund Policy
Enrollment is limited in our courses and workshops and your participation is important to us. Once you have enrolled, we are counting on you to attend. If DAC cancels a course you will receive a full refund. Please allow 3-4 weeks for processing. Students will be contacted by email for class cancellations. A Participant wishing to withdraw from a class that has not been cancelled by DAC must provide a written request at least one week before the scheduled start of the class. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org. They may receive a full refund minus a $10 processing fee per participant per class. Please allow 3-4 weeks for processing. Within the week prior to the start of a class or after a class has begun, refunds or credits will not be given. In the case of verified medical/hardships a credit may be given. DAC must be contacted in writing before the course ends for a credit to be considered for a verified medical hardship. Any credit you receive from DAC will be valid for one year from the date you notify us and must be used by someone on the same account as original registrant. DAC will not extend credit or provide make up classes for occasional classes missed due to illness or other circumstances.
Individual Music Cancellation, Withdrawal And Refund Policy
If a student elects to discontinue lessons during a term, the semester tuition is nonrefundable and nontransferable to a subsequent term, and tuition may not be transferred to another family member’s account. There are two exceptions to this: 1. Credits carried forward from the previous semester for missed lessons due to instructor absence or lessons cancelled by DAC due to inclement weather. 2. A new DAC music student may withdraw only after the first lesson. If a new student and/or parent, in consultation with the instructor, chooses to withdraw from the DAC program after the first lesson, they must contact the DAC School at 919-560-2726 no later than three days after the first lesson. New students who choose to withdraw from the program at this time will receive refund of the semester tuition, less the first lesson fee and the $25 withdrawal fee.
DAC School tries to schedule instructors well in advance of each term. On occasion, unforeseen circumstances require DAC to substitute instructors. The substitution of an instructor does not qualify you for a refund.
