Rebecca Kleinmann is an acclaimed flutist, singer, and composer with a professional career marked by diversity and improvisation. An explorer at heart, she rockets and flows between genres, leading her Jazz Quintet and performing in Brazilian and Flamenco shows. Rebecca’s international career has taken her to perform on stages in Brazil, Argentina, Europe, Africa and Australia as well as the SF Jazz Center, the San Jose Jazz Festival, Yoshi’s and the Paramount Theatre closer to her Oakland home. She has produced three of her own albums and collaborated on dozens of professional recordings. Rebecca is also passionate about providing quality music education, maintaining a full private flute and vocal studio. She is trained in the Orff Schulwerk approach to Music Education by San Francisco ORFF and Orff Afrique programs (in Ghana) and has taught music to thousands of children through her work with Music for Minors, the Community Music Center, Tehiyah Day School and the Oakland Youth Chorus. Performance The Rebecca Kleinmann Experience: The Rebecca Kleinmann Ensemble
GRADES: Kindergarten – 12 “The Rebecca Kleinmann Ensemble” is a Quintet or Sextet featuring music from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Brazil and Jazz from the US. This group provides a Salsa and Latin Dance experience and insight into the rich music of Latin American and the Caribbean. (Bi-Lingual/Spanish) Max Participants: 400 Duration: 45-60 minutes Special Requirements: A performance space of at least 20′ x 20′ is required for this performance. Auditoriums or gyms are best for this performance. When possible: Client will provide a sound system, with speakers and a mixer, 3 vocal microphones. 2 directional microphones for percussion or drums. Stands and Cables. 2- 3 DI boxes. TRS output, phantom not needed, Piano or Keyboard. 2- 3 monitors depending on the size of the space. If artists must bring sound equipment or hire a sound company, please add an additional $250-$500 to total fee. Single Performance Fee: $1,500 Two Performances Fee: $2,250

GRADES: Kindergarten – 12 “Também,” a women-led quartet that explores the intersection of Brazilian and American music through a wide range of rhythms and textures. Students can experientially learn about Samba, MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) and Forró, the catchy and very rhythmic dance music from northeastern Brazil. (Bi-Lingual/Portuguese) Max Participants: 400 Duration: 45-60 minutes Special Requirements: A performance space of at least 20′ x 20′ is required for this performance. Auditoriums or gyms are best for this performance. Performance The Rebecca Kleinmann Experience: Noites Carolinas
GRADES: Kindergarten – 12 “Noites Carolinas” is an ensemble focused on the delightful Choro musical genre of Brazil, and also comfortably swings into Samba and Forró (baião) rhythms. “Noites Carolinas,” (“Carolina Nights”) is playfully named after Choro’s emblematic piece “Noites Cariocas” (“Rio Nights”). The dynamic group explores the rich history and ever-evolving music that came about in Brazil parallel with Ragtime, when influences of European Art Music combined with African and Indigenous rhythms. Max Participants: 400 Duration: 45-60 minutes Special Requirements: A performance space of at least 20′ x 20′ is required for this performance. Auditoriums or gyms are best for this performance.
