What happens when a librarian and a school teacher run away to join the circus? Acrobatic acts, spine tingling stories, and gravity defying feats of literacy! Combining their years of experience as aerialists, teachers and storytellers, StoryUp! brings a unique spin on literacy and circus to schools, libraries, and festivals. Programs
Performance Aerial Aesop’s
GRADES: Pre-K – 5
Join StoryUp! as they use the ground, air, and all the space in-between as they retell three classic Aesop’s fables using aerial silks! Students will delight as the storytellers climb, spin, and flip in this interactive and gravity-defying performance.
Max Participants: 300 students
Duration: 45 minutes
Special Requirements: 18 ft height (unobstructed), 20 ft circumference floor space (unobstructed) to accommodate the rig for aerial performance
Fees:
Single Performance: $1,000
Two Same-Day Performances: $1,875
Small Group Performance Fee (less than 30 children): $750
Workshop Circus Play with StoryUp!
GRADES: Pre-K – 5
Let the circus come to you! StoryUp! will give your class an introduction to highly specialized circus skills. In this workshop we will dive into disciplines such as clowning, juggling, and basics of partner acrobatics. Skills are chosen to accommodate each age group.
Max Participants: 30
Duration: 60 minutes
Special Requirements:
2 adult volunteers for classroom management, large unobstructed space (gym, cafeteria, auditorium, dance room)
