Accessibility at Centerfest
CenterFest is committed to making our festival welcoming and accessible-the arts are for everyone! Please contact Colleen Scott at cscott@durhamarts.org for any questions, concerns, or requests regarding accessibility at CenterFest.
Physical Access–
Parking– CenterFest has wheelchair-accessible parking (see map below), in which you can drive up to that gate-show the police presence your tag-and you will be let onto the site to park in that designated area. To get to further stages, such as CCB, Bull Ride will be available to drive attendees around the outside of the festival site and do drop-offs at the entrance gates. To use Bull Ride, Call 919-682-BULL.
Stages- CenterFest stages have seating/standing room for attendees. There will be a portion of seats at each stage marked for accessible viewing.
Restrooms– Accessible bathrooms located around the site (indicated with wheelchair symbol) and inside the Durham Arts Council building at 120 Morris St, Durham NC 27701.
Visual Access– Service animals are welcome at CenterFest (Service animals are trained to perform a task that is directly related to the handler’s disability). Large print maps and festival guides are available at the Information Tent.
Sensory Friendly Access– CenterFest has a designated quiet space, on the second floor of the Durham Arts Council-in the Semans Gallery. The quiet space is accessible by elevator.
Health & Safety– EMS is onsite at CenterFest in the Durham Arts Council building main lobby.
