 Después de reflexionar sobre varias opciones para el título de esta exhibición, los artistas del Inter Latin American Artist Collective (ILAAC) decidimos optar por Viva la Vida ante la Adversidad. Este título refleja las dificultades y los retos que hemos enfrentado durante el año 2024, desde los contextos políticos y sociales hasta los desafíos migratorios. Sabemos que el 2025 será un año lleno de adversidades, y por ello creemos que es crucial resaltar lo que estamos viviendo como comunidad. 

 

Otros títulos que se consideraron fueron: Cultivando el Corazón: Corazón y Bondad, Seguir Adelante y Salir Ante la Adversidad, Viviendo la Vida y Sobreviviendo Ante la Adversidad. 

 

Esta exhibición presenta el trabajo del Inter-Latin American Artist Collective (ILAAC), y muestra las distintas formas en las que cada artista utiliza el arte para expresar su visión sobre las dificultades que enfrentamos, así como sobre nuestra cultura y tradiciones. Las obras expuestas ofrecen una perspectiva rica y diversa de la obra de cada artista, y cómo cada uno aborda las adversidades cotidianas. 

 

ILAAC está conformado por los artistas Pepe Caudillo, Luis MacKinney, Antonio Alanis, Lety Álvarez, Peter Marín, José Manuel Cruz y Cornelio Campos.

After reflecting on several options for the title of this exhibition, the Inter Latin American Artist Collective (ILAAC) decided on Live Life in the Face of Adversity. This title reflects the difficulties and challenges we have faced during 2024, from political and social contexts to migration challenges. We know that 2025 will be a year full of adversities, and for that reason, we believe it is crucial to highlight what we are experiencing as a community. 

 

Other titles we considered included: Cultivating the Heart: Heart and Kindness, Moving Forward and Overcoming Adversity, Living Life, and Surviving in the Face of Adversity. This exhibition showcases the work of the Inter-Latin American Artist Collective (ILAAC) and highlights the different ways in which each artist uses art to express their perspective on the difficulties we face, as well as on our culture and traditions. The exhibited works offer a rich and diverse perspective on each artist’s creations and how each one approaches everyday adversities.
