Here are last year’s highlights: |
- Provided 151 CAPS programs, bringing the arts to 25,089 students and the wider community

Engaged 6,773 students of all ages in 710 classes, camps, and open studios at the DAC School
- Curated 10 exhibits featuring 153 local artists in our award-winning gallery space that is open free to the public daily

Awarded 136 cash and facility use grants, totaling $884,916 to support 49 artists and 94 organizations
- Produced one of the largest and longest running arts festivals, CenterFest Arts Festival – now ranked #22 Nationally and #1 in North Carolina – for 34,827 attendees!

The Durham Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and local arts agency dedicated to supporting the arts in Durham and the entire Triangle Region in North Carolina and has served the community since 1954. Each year DAC serves over 400,000 visitors and program participants, over 2,000 artists, and more than 300 arts and cultural organizations through classes, artist residencies, exhibits, festivals, grants programs, technical support, creative economy initiatives, arts advocacy, and information services.
