| Book a CAPS Program for Arts-Integrated Learning!
It’s back-to-school season and now is the time to book a CAPS program! Our professional performing and visual artists are available to provide residencies, performances, and workshops for all learning centers for children of all ages and adult seniors. Start the schoolyear off right with CAPS Programs to compliment all learning goals with the arts!

Emerging Artists Grants Applications Are Open
Emerging Artist Grants provide career development support for artists in all art forms living in Durham, Orange, Chatham, Granville and Person Counties, NC, for at least one year. Applications will open August 1 and are due September 30, 2022. Zoom information sessions are scheduled for August 4, August 17, September 7, 2022, each session at 6 PM.

| Volunteer at CenterFest!
CenterFest Arts Festival is coming up on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18, and we need VOLUNTEERS! CenterFest is only possible because of the 250+ volunteers who donate their time and talents to keep the festival running smoothly. Volunteers can sign up to greet festival-goers at the gate, sell sodas, assist the visual artists with their booths, and more.

This grant program is funded by the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources. The Durham Medical Orchestra is now welcoming virtual audition submissions for Fall 2022. Please submit a two- to four-minute unedited video recording that demonstrates your musicianship to verena.m@duke.edu by August 19.
If the file is too large to send via email, upload it to a service such as DropBox, Google Drive, YouTube, etc., and share a link. Include a brief introduction in the video or in the email, highlighting your professional and your musical background.

| | Click! Plein Air Exhibition Call For Entries
Deadline for Entries: August 21, 2022
Artists are encouraged to submit up to 5 images. The selected works will be exhibited in an outdoor exhibition in the NCMA sculpture park for all of October during the Click! Photography Festival and at various projection events throughout the festival. The Exhibition will run from October 1 through October 31 with an opening event at NCMA on October 9th to coincide with their Monster Drawing event. Enter here.

Durham County Open Call for Artists
The Durham County Public Art Program has issued a RFQ inviting artists or artist teams to submit Qualifications for the design and installation of public artwork in, on, or around several Durham County Buildings. This is a rolling call for multiple projects at various locations, and multiple artists and artist teams will be commissioned.
Artists of all types and levels of experience are encouraged to apply, and community references will be accepted. |

2023 Piedmont Laureate Application: Poetry The Application for the 2023 Piedmont Laureate is now open. Applications will be accepted until September 9 from poets resident in Durham, Orange or Wake Counties. An Information Session will be held August 30 at 7 PM.
