DAC is Looking for Teen Volunteers for Summer Camp 2022! Summer Arts Camp provides teen volunteers the opportunity to assist camp instructors and help kids with visual and performing arts activities. Starting Thursday, Jan. 20 guests may view exhibits in the Durham Arts Council and Durham Art Guild from 11 am – 5 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. No appointment sign up is required. Guests will be screened before entering the DAC building and masks are required. Bull City Summit, a new music, art, science, and technology festival, debuts this March in downtown Durham! BCS is now accepting applications, through January 31 for local Durham and Triangle area artists, photographers, visual lighting creators, and more - there is no fee to apply or participate. Showcasing artists in multiple traditional and digital art categories will be selected to exhibit and sell at BCS Art Fair and Market, partake in BCS panels, and more. Good luck!

The City of Durham's Cultural and Public Art Program (the “City”) and Durham Parks and Recreation (DPR) are seeking artists or artist teams with experience in creating public art that fosters a unique sense of place based on community-informed designs for the New Athletic Park on Hoover Road to support a welcoming user-experience. The selected artist or artist team will have a total public art project budget of $50,000, including artist fees, artist-design, community engagement, fabrication, and documentation of the artwork on site.
