CAPS News Inside Out Gaspard & Dancers presents InsideOut, a film exploring space. The film completed in May 2021 with company dancer, Jenna Kulacz, music by Michael Wall and filmed by Steve Milligan.
As movers, our natural instinct is to soak up the space around us. However, In the age of Covid-19, we find ourselves in situations where we’re forced to practice self-isolation and remain at a distance from one another. Inside Out is an exploration of the space, the air, and the joy of being able to move freely in an environment larger than 6 x 6 boundaries. The concept and choreography was created by Gaspard & Dancers artistic director and founder, Gaspard Louis. Gaspard & Dancers are Durham Arts Council grant recipients and present to schools across Durham through the Durham Arts Council’s Creative Arts in Public & Private Schools (CAPS) program. We appreciate the Robert & Mercedes Eichholz Foundation for their generous support of this project.
