This Third Friday will be one you won’t want to miss! Come celebrate creativity, community, and inclusion on Friday, October 17 from 6:00–8:00 PM at the Durham Arts Council. Our House Exhibit Opening Kick off the annual Our House showcase, featuring the diverse talents of DAC School instructors and students. On view October 11 – December 7, 2025 in the Allenton & Semans Galleries, this signature exhibit highlights the vibrancy of our arts education community.
Accessible Arts Gathering Learn about inclusive and accessible art with Proxemic Media. Enjoy art displays, resources, live performances, food, and networking with artists, advocates, and organizations dedicated to accessibility in the arts.

Register for Winter School Break Camps |
Registration for Winter School Break Camps (Ages 5-12) opens Friday, October 3rd at 10am! Accommodating year-round and traditional school breaks and teacher workdays on Durham Public Schools calendars, campers participate in both visual and performing arts inspired by an awesome camp theme. Each week has different activities, so campers can participate in multiple sessions!
Architectural Marvels Embark on a global adventure, exploring iconic structures and architectural wonders. From the intricate carvings of the Taj Mahal to the surreal forms of Gaudí’s Sagrada Família, campers will learn how art and architecture blend to tell cultural stories. Young architects and engineers will love learning about the world’s most marvelous structures and creating their own in this STEAM-learning camp.
