The Watercolor Society of North Carolina (WSNC) sends thirty (30) paintings chosen by the Judge from the current year’s annual exhibition to the venue where next year’s exhibition will be held. This Traveling Exhibition introduces outstanding, award-winning, WSNC paintings to Durham and surrounding areas. The viewer will experience varied, fun and eclectic creations of each artist while gaining a greater appreciation for watercolor and for the exceptional talent in our State. It is a privilege to be able to view this fine art so close to home.

In November of 2023, the Durham Arts Council will host the WSNC Annual Juried Exhibition. Judge Kathleen Conover will choose 70 paintings from the 300 or so submitted for selection. WSNC members strive throughout the year to create a painting they hope will be chosen for this once-a-year Exhibition. We are planning for another exceptional show at the Durham Arts Council in 2023.
